Yesterday I again got to experience Robert Cass weave his magic at one of our Ignite workshops as he took one of our banking clients through an Insights Discovery diagnostic.
An Ignite workshop is a highly collaborative approach to establishing an agreed prioritised plan very quickly, in under a day.
The power of the Ignite is that everyone in the room is involved in building the plan and will generally leave the room committed to it as a unified team.
However, for the plan to be executed successfully and achieve its outcomes, we need the team to continue to be unified going forward.
This can only happen if there is a good appreciation of each other’s strengths and weaknesses and a strong foundation of trust that your peers have your back.
We start by using the learnings from Patrick Lencioni – Overcoming the Five Dysfunctions of a Team to assess the level of trust within a team (that then sets them up to have healthy open conflict, truly commit to a plan, then hold each other to account, which WILL lead to a very results focussed team).
Then Rob takes the team on a journey of self-discovery of themselves and their peers using the Insights Discovery process.
This, in turn, builds stronger communication and interaction, which leads to a greater team dynamic.
And the best thing of all, as well as being very insightful and eye-opening, it is also a lot of fun!
