Key Success Factor of a Stand-Up

One of the key success indicators of a stand-up meeting is not necessarily what is discussed during the meeting but more so what is discussed after the meeting.

If people are lingering around after a stand-up, it’s usually because they have heard a snippet of information and they are keen to learn more.

Stand-ups should always be short, sharp and quick and share just enough information to spark interest among the team, whether you are sharing with everyone things that are happening or calling out for some help.

Hence the power of corridor conversations – something we miss when we work remotely

Another good reason to get back into the office occasionally!

Of course, in the absence of corridor conversations, there is an alternative that also works in the virtual world…. After parties!

But that is a topic for another day…..
