Massive news surprised Queen fans and rock memorabilia collectors yesterday when Sotherby’s announced they are displaying and auctioning some very rare artifacts from Freddie Mercury’s private collection.
Items include:
- Freddie’s royal crown and cloak from his Magic Tour performances
- Handwritten lyrics for We Are The Champions and Killer Queen written in 1974 on Elektra Record paper
- Freddie’s 39th birthday party jacket that featured in his Living On My Own video
- Freddie’s favourite waistcoat, worn in his final video, The Days Of Our Lives
